Do you think I look guilty? Yeah, me neither...

Seriously. I swear I wasn't digging in the trash bag full of shredded paper. Why would you accuse me of that? I thought there was trust between you and I.

I Drool

Click photo for my epic drool string...

So, it's not the best picture cuz Dad was using the camera in his phone, but check out that epic drool string hanging from my lip! I was sitting on the deck still as a statue watching that stupid crow that mocks me all day long and the longer I sat there the longer that drool got until I finally moved and it was about a foot long!

I rule...and, I drool...

I GOT A PUPPY POOL!!!!!

Oh my God! Oh my God! I got a puppy pool for the summer! I'm just starting to love playing in the water at the beach but still don't really like the waves; they're big and...wet. Anyway...

I totally love splashing around in the water and now I can do that whenever I'd like! Mom came in with this big blue plastic thing and at first it sort of freaked me out. After a few minutes, I was hooked. Put it up on the sun deck, fill the thing with water and this pointer's pad just got pimped.

When it gets too hot for me I just go up on the deck and splash around a bit. Just because I can, I blow bubbles out my nose as I walk in circles around the pool. Looking for what? I don't know, but I'm sure there's something there worth checking out.

Life is good.

Car rides are the best

I heart car rides

I don't know why, but I can't get enough car rides. My dad takes me with him whenever he has to run quick errands like dropping videos off at Blockbuster or to pick up puppy stuff at the pet supply store and I wouldn't miss it for the world.

It got me thinking about why I love car rides so much. Is it the wind in my face at 30mph? The # of smells I can take in at that speed is amazing; it saves me the time and effort of walking which would have taken me 10-times longer to cover that kind of ground. My ears flap around, too, which is fun and sometimes too much air gets in and I sneeze uncontrollably...not fun.

You haven't lived until you've taken in smells at 35mph

Is it because I look so cool and people always smile and point at me? I'm sure that has something to do with it, too.

Is it because the back seat is a great place to kick it old skool? You bet! When I finally tire from standing or I'm just too beat from an intense play session and can't stand in the first place I'm all about curling up and making the back seat my own

Kickin' it, old skool

I think most of all I just like to be around mom and dad wherever they go. I'm not that annoying when I'm in the car and I stay in the back seat so I'm not much of a bother and they enjoy getting me out of the house; gotta love that! When dad's new wagon shows up from Germany I'll have to get used to being in the back cargo portion which doesn't have windows, but I'm sure my guile and charm will result in me getting to sit in the back seat with a window in no time. Suckers...

Until next time, I rule.

Guess who's back?

Brisbane's back!!

My owners took a 2 week trip to Europe and I was incarcerated for the entire stint. When being dragged into the boarding area of the veterinarian's office I shouted, "What crime am I being charged with? I've committed no crime!!" just like Edmond Dantes in Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo. OK, I actually ran excitedly in with all the other dogs and my 2 week lockup in the joint was really just like puppy summer camp; you might say I had fun. But, I'm glad to be back home with mom and dad and kicking it on super cushy puppy beds strategically placed throughout the house and getting regular walks and trips to the beach and all the lovin' I can handle. Life is good!

But in any event, I'm back in front of a computer and blogging again; feels good. Not too much happening around here, just getting back into the swing of things. The other day I was sitting on the steps watching my dad talking on the phone and I had a drool string about a foot long hanging from my lower lip, so that's pretty cool. Oh and I'm starting to wade into the ocean when we go to the beach, which is super fun though I'm still not sure about those waves.

Tons of fun stuff to blog about, so I'll just leave you with a couple photos for now. Until next time...I rule!!

I'm a big boy, now

I gotta look out for this sign, now

When does a puppy become a man? I'll tell you when, it's when he lifts his leg to go potty. Yeah, and this Pointer is a MAN!

I started lifting my leg recently on our morning walks and painting up the palm trees and random corners I could find and I can't stop. Sure, I still squat when I'm at home and when I don't feel like lifting my leg but I seem to be favoring the leg lift method from here on out.

If you're reading this and you're a tree, corner of a building, road sign or anything else that I can lift my leg and tinkle on you've been warned.

R.I.P Nuts the Squirrel

Nuts the Squirrel was found dead last night at 7:19PM. The cause of death is currently unknown.

First on the scene, Bryan Mills, had this statement. "Nuts the Squirrel's remains were found strewn at the base of the sectional couch in the living room. The tail had been removed in a very grotesque manner, indicative of a gang initiation or occult ritual...or just a crazy puppy with really strong teeth.

The remains of Nuts the Squirrel, absent tail

We have a suspect at this time, Royal's Gold Coast Surfer; street name: Brisbane. He was found with the inner stuffing stuck in his jaws, sitting at the scene of the crime. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, though his guilt appears to be a foregone conclusion.

The Suspect (identity hidden as this is an on-going investigation)

It's always sad to see these things happen. Puppies do some crazy things and no matter how much you try to teach them respect for their toys, the peer pressure to be bad is always there and it's up to us to show them the right way so things like this don't happen. Unfortunately, Nuts was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He will be missed."

Nuts the squirrel is survived by The Penguin, Little Man and Hedgehog #2. He will be buried in The Graveyard along with other fallen stuffed animal toys.

Working in the office with Dad

Ya know, kind of a hu-hum day around the house. I did my walk, took a big nap, played on the deck for a while, then I came up to Dad's office with him and helped him do his work. I'm quite the helper puppy, as you can see.

You're in my world, Nuts...

I want you to meet Nuts. Nuts is a fuzzy little squirrel my owners bought me last week. He's cute, he squeaks, his tail crinkles when you bite it; he's a great toy for a puppy like myself. Too bad his fate was decided the second some factory in China began stitching him together.

See, Brisbane doesn't play nicely. I like to massacre my stuffed toys with extreme prejudice. This little guy never knew when he was picked up from Pet Supply that he would live such a violent, oppressed life and be destined to arrive in pieces at the bottom of my toy bin, or as I like to call it: "The Graveyard." The Graveyard is filled with the remnants of chewy toys, toys I don't like and the pelts of my victims. Pay heed: The Graveyard is no place for the meek.

So, Nuts, enjoy the playtime while you can for you, too, shall become a pelt at the bottom of The Graveyard like Hedgehog #1 and Green Guy...

See that little nametag around my neck? You're in my world, squirrel...

Oh, Nuts...how ever will you escape the jaws of Brisbane?

You will beg for mercy...and I shall not grant it, squirrel...

Weekends rule

Is there anything better than a weekend? I mean, I work hard throughout the week getting up early to go on walks, eat, hang out in my crate for a while, sleep, play for a while, go on a walk and wrap it all up with some simple training exercises and more sleep. Talk about a daily grind, huh?

Well, when the weekends come I love to let it all hang out; reward myself for working so hard throughout the week. This weekend was fantastic. What did I do this weekend...

Well, first up, I went for a fun play in the HB Dog Park. I ran, I wrestled, I got humped (it happens, don't worry about it) I made new friends. Good times.

Afterwards, I was a tired Pointer.

A really tired Pointer.

Sunday, deja vu... More dog park action but my silly owners forgot their camera so no action shots. I did meet a really nice pit bull named Chloe. Here is her website. She's a really well trained, well-behaved dog that is an ambassador for her breed and SUPER fun to play with. I hope I can see her again at the dog park!

After that, more sleeping. This time, it was a little sun-bathing with my momma. We were super lazy and it was awesome!

Back to the grind...
